About Us
Direct Benefit Transfer is a initiative launched by Government of India on 1st January, 2013.
Direct Benefit Transfer is a major reform initiative launched in order to ensure electronic transfer of benefits to the account of the beneficiaries in a better and timely manner and also to the targeted beneficiary. This has been necessitated in order to avoid pilferages and duplication in providing subsidies to the beneficiaries. The important step in this direction is linking the beneficiaries with their Aadhaar number for actually targeting such beneficiaries.
Constitution of Advisory Board and DBT Cell:
To monitor the progress of Direct Benefit Transfer, the full-fledged DBT Cell has been established on 13-06-2016. The Chief Secretary, Haryana is the Chairman of the Advisory Board constituted vide notification dated 16-09-2016.
